I saw these red plaid UGGs online recently. I thought they were kind of cool, although I've never seen them in stores. People either hate UGGs or love them with a passion. I'm in that latter group. I have troublesome feet. I've had surgeries on both feet, and when your feet hurt, you'll love any type of shoe you can actually wear.
I wear UGGs a lot, pretty much year round. I wear them around the house as slippers, and I have a pair of extra-ratty ones I take camping. UGGs are the best shoes for camping, especially sitting around the campfire or having to get up in the wee hours. They're easy to slip on and off. My boys literally live in them. Sad thing is, both my boys' feet are the same size as mine, so they've been stealing my boots!
UGGs have an interesting history. I have always thought they were designed by an Australian surfer in 1971. If you read this link — Ugg boots — you will see they have been around a very long time.
