Shorts and a Scarf

I saw this picture online and thought these were cute plaid shorts. I'm not sure if it's a current picture or not. Are high-waisted shorts and pants coming back in style?

Also, I found this little plaid scarf at the thrift store recently. I ended up tying it on my purse strap, so that's where it still is. It's really light and sheer, as you can see in the picture, so it might be fun to wear in my hair or something.

Pink Plaid Press-on Nails

I saw these press-on nails at a Toys R Us store in Spokane recently. They're smaller, so I'm guessing they are made for little girls. If you look close, the tips are a pink plaid. Kind of cute, if your little girls are into that sort of thing.

Plaid Crocs

I had no idea there were plaid Crocs, but look at these! People either love Crocs or hate them with a passion. To be honest, I never cared for them much. I remember how everyone at my high school tromped around wearing those icky shoes called Jellies. Remember those? Then when Crocs came out, they reminded me of those ugly shoes. But then ... one day I was walking around Las Vegas wearing a pair of my favorite cowboy boots. I didn't realize we'd be walking so much on that trip, and my goodness, I was nearly in tears!

Thank heavens for the Rainforest Cafe where I found a pair of Crocs. Totally saved me. I usually only wear them with socks, but both of these plaid ones look like they're lined, which is nice. However, I'm not seeing either of these on their website, so I don't know if they still offer them or not.

A Plaid Beer — from Montana?

I was going to post this on St. Patrick's Day, but then I realized it was a Scottish ale, so that wouldn't have made any sense. Not that it makes any sense now — Scottish ale that's brewed in northwestern Montana? It just doesn't sound right, does it?

Actually, I'm pretty curious now, so the next time I see it, I might give this Highlander Beer a try. Regardless, it has a red plaid label on the bottle, which I think is pretty cool.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope everyone has a nice day, whether you celebrate St. Patrick's Day or not. We don't have any plans, other than making some cupcakes with Lucky Charms marshmallows on top. That's about the extent of it. Whoohoo. I don't believe I have any Irish blood in me, but that's impossible to know with my mom being adopted.

I saw these green plaid cookies online and thought they were pretty cool. Sometimes the kids and I make shamrock shaped sugar cookies for St. Patrick's Day. We usually just color them green, but doing a green plaid on a shamrock shape would be even cuter. I might have to try that next year.

I also saw these green plaid pants online. I don't have any green plaid since I'm so partial to red, but I do like this pants. I also saw some green plaid leggings that looked neat, but they were more of a clipart image than a real one.

Plaid Bracelets

I saw a red plaid cuff bracelet at a gift shop the other day, but I didn't buy it. It was sort of a darker red and it was kind of funny looking. These bracelets, however, are a lot nicer. I'd definitely wear any of these. How about you?

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid

I haven't seen this movie in years, and I can barely remember what it was about. I might have to check Netflix to see if it's on there sometime.

John-Plaid-Frusciante

In honor of it being John's birthday, here are some pictures of the past guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers — donning some of his plaid shirts.

I like this ...

I know it looks like a throw blanket, but I like it. I think I'd wear it with a thicker belt, most likely black, and probably a little further down near my hips. Even so, it's a fun look. How about you — would you wear something like this?

Crazy PLAID Chicken!

I saw this guy at the Salvation Army thrift store yesterday. He cracked me up. He had velcro on his hands (shouldn't chickens have wings?), so I'm guessing it was one of those toys you can hang up somehow. His little plaid jumper made me laugh though, so I thought I'd take a picture of him.
