Plaid Dork

I laugh every time I see this stupid picture. I didn't wear glasses at the time, so these must have been my mom's reading glasses. I did type on a typewriter though — a lot. I actually learned to type on a vintage Royal typewriter. I remember when we got this electric one. I thought it was the greatest thing. I must have, especially to be sitting there like an absolute dork wearing a plaid nightshirt. I must have worn that thing to death back in the early-to-mid 1980s.

Sorry to not have kept this blog updated lately. I hope to change that once we're settled back into a daily routine with school and everything.

Being lazy ...

I've been bad about updating this blog, but since I don't advertise it much, I guess it's no big deal. I wore my plaid leggings the other day with a black dress that I've had forever. I don't look too happy in the picture, but that's because I was waiting to go in to the dentist. Lucky me. It was only for a cleaning, and to be honest, I don't mind going to the dentist anymore. I'll be going to Washington soon, so I'll definitely be on the lookout for more plaidness while I'm out and about.

Brady Plaid

Okay, so it's not red plaid, but she's still cute as hell. I loved her when I was a kid, but mostly in the earlier shows when she was younger with the curls. The braids — not as much. I guess I always related better to Cindy than anyone else. We both had a lisp, and that was hard dealing with sometimes, especially in school.

Rick tortured me the past two nights and made me watch The Brady Movie and the sequel to that. It's corny as can be. However, the person who came up with the idea of mixing 1970s Brady characters into modern times is absolutely brilliant. As corny as the films are, I was loving the clothes. Talk about retro heaven!
