Well, that's just ... damn. I was a huge fan of Roy's back when he did the La Femme Nikita television shows. In fact, I have the entire series on DVD. I really need to start watching those again. I absolutely loved him as Michael.

My friend Jenn shared this on my Facebook today, and I just knew I had to put it up here. Nothing says "Christmas" like a plaid tree topped with a squirrel wearing angel wings and a Santa hat holding a tube of Pepto Bismo. I dunno ... I kind of like it!

Sorry he's a little blurry, but I took the picture without my glasses on. Isn't he great? He's at Kmart, along with a bunch of other themed Santas. I want him! He's about $15 though, so I had to pass him by because I was shopping for other people. However, if anyone's looking for a present to give to me — ha ha!

The picture isn't very clear, but you get the idea. I'm sure I snapped it without my glasses on. I saw this Cabbage Patch doll at a Salvation Army thrift store in Billings awhile back. I've never been into these dolls much, but my MIL liked them and I know my girls played with hers. I thought the little, plaid skirt was cute.
I'm sorry I've been MIA over here, as well as my other blogs. If you've been to my main blog or my Facebook page, I'm sure you know why. I hope I can get back into a routine as well as be more up-to-date with this blog. If you have any plaid-related pictures, please send them my way and I'll be happy to feature them.

Isn't he absolutely adorable? My friend, Linda sent this to me. She's pretty much the Queen of Crafts in my eyes. She makes the cutest things. Anyway, I was so surprised yesterday to get a package from her with this adorable little guy in it.
I absolutely love how he sits up on his front little paws. Not only did Linda make me the red plaid puppy, but she sent some for the boys as well. They love them.
Thank you so much, Linda! You totally made our day!

I laugh every time I see this stupid picture. I didn't wear glasses at the time, so these must have been my mom's reading glasses. I did type on a typewriter though — a lot. I actually learned to type on a vintage Royal typewriter. I remember when we got this electric one. I thought it was the greatest thing. I must have, especially to be sitting there like an absolute dork wearing a plaid nightshirt. I must have worn that thing to death back in the early-to-mid 1980s.
Sorry to not have kept this blog updated lately. I hope to change that once we're settled back into a daily routine with school and everything.

I've been bad about updating this blog, but since I don't advertise it much, I guess it's no big deal. I wore my plaid leggings the other day with a black dress that I've had forever. I don't look too happy in the picture, but that's because I was waiting to go in to the dentist. Lucky me. It was only for a cleaning, and to be honest, I don't mind going to the dentist anymore. I'll be going to Washington soon, so I'll definitely be on the lookout for more plaidness while I'm out and about.

Okay, so it's not red plaid, but she's still cute as hell. I loved her when I was a kid, but mostly in the earlier shows when she was younger with the curls. The braids — not as much. I guess I always related better to Cindy than anyone else. We both had a lisp, and that was hard dealing with sometimes, especially in school.
Rick tortured me the past two nights and made me watch The Brady Movie and the sequel to that. It's corny as can be. However, the person who came up with the idea of mixing 1970s Brady characters into modern times is absolutely brilliant. As corny as the films are, I was loving the clothes. Talk about retro heaven!

I see a lot of red plaid in the national parks gift shops. These two items were spotted in Glacier recently. The top is actually long johns, but it's hard to tell because the hanger has the top part folded down. Pretty cute with the bears. The bottom shorts are pretty common, but you pay dearly for them to have Glacier imprinted on them.

I found these red plaid shorts at the thrift store awhile back. Even though I thought they were incredibly nerdy, they were my size, so I bought them. They're high-waisted, which seems to be coming back in style right now. Plus, they're kind of on the baggy side, so they flare out more like a skirt.
I thought they might be fun to wear with some black leggings and black boots — or something punkish like that. When I decide what to wear with them, I will try to snap a better photograph.

Neil and I were wandering around the local Salvation Army awhile back. We came upon these plates and bowls. I noticed the apples right away — being the apple freak I've become, but it was Neil who pointed out the apples were PLAID! I honestly hadn't seen that at first. There were only a few pieces, but had it been a complete set, I might have found it hard to pass up.

I saw these things at one of the shops inside the UK section of Epcot's World Showcase at Walt Disney World. Of course, plaid items catch my eye, especially when they're red. Imagine my surprise when I picked up that wallet and saw the price tag — $99 — WHOA! Everything else was a little cheaper, but not much.
I joked about liking the wallet to my MIL and she actually wanted to go back to get it for me. NO WAY! I had to beg her not to. I already have a plaid wallet, although it is a black one. I certainly don't need a $99 wallet. I think I paid $7 for mine at Walmart. However, I took a few pictures of stuff, and that's good enough for me.

On our last night in WDW we went to Downtown Disney and ate dinner at the T-Rex Cafe. It's just like a Rainforest Cafe, but has a dinosaur theme. In the gift shop they had a Build-A-Bear workshop devoted to just dinosaur related toys. Neil built a Velociraptor and named him Mark. As he was waiting in line, I saw this little outfit. If you zoom in on the plaid shirt, you'll see little dinosaurs. Too cute!

... just a slightly ratty, red plaid teddy bear I saw at the Salvation Army the other day. I didn't buy him, but he smiled for a photograph. He was small, about the size of a Beanie Baby. The more I look at him, the more I want to go back and get him. I don't NEED him though, which makes me sad. LOL — I'm conflicted.

I came across these stretchy, red plaid legging capris at the Salvation Army today. I also found the top and the shoes there. Well, to be honest, everything pictured here came from the thrift store, even the plaid scarf tied around my purse. I'm not sure if I'll ever wear the outfit like this, but I threw it down on the floor for the picture. Sorry it's a little blurry, but I think you get the idea ...

Rick and I watched this last night. I'm not sure why, but this movie is hilarious to me. I laugh like an idiot every time I see it. And funny enough, but the McKenzie brothers wear these plaid, flannel shirts throughout the movie. Gotta love that.

I found this quilted vest for $6 at the Salvation Army yesterday. Obviously, I couldn't pass it up. It doesn't have a label anywhere on it, so I don't know what company made it. It is also reversible and has pockets on both sides. I guess I could wear it as a beige vest with a plaid lining — but — I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing it the other way around most days.

After taking our cat to the vet today, I ran into the Salvation Army while Rick stayed in the car and cat sat with Kitty. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but wanted to have a quick look around since the store is right across the street from the vet office. I sort of have a routine of regular places I check in the store, and the juniors' section is usually last on my list, if at all. I'm so glad I stopped today.
I found these red plaid pants hanging right on the end of a rack. Red plaid sticks out like a sore thumb to me, so I spotted them right away. I was a little disappointed when I saw they were a size nine. I haven't worn a size nine in a long time. Probably the last time I did was right between having my girls and my boys. I think I got back down to a nine around that time. However, they were just way too cute to pass up, and since they only cost $2.25, I figured I'd get them. It was more wishful thinking that I'd get down to that size again eventually.
Anyway, when I got home and tried them on, I couldn't believe it — they fit! Well, just about. I've put on a few pounds these past few months, so a lot of my pants are a little snug right now. Once I get back down to where I was, they will fit perfectly. What's even nicer is that they're made in this century! I have another pair of red plaid pants that had to have been from the 1980's. Those pants have a high-waist and stir-ups, so I cover that up with longer tops and boots. The pants I found today have a low-waist and a slight flare to the leg. Made my day ... to say the least.

I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, but considering I don't have many followers on here, I guess it doesn't really matter. I also apologize for the silly picture of myself looking in my dirty bathroom mirror. I generally hate these types of pictures. They seem so corny. However, had I asked Rick to take one for me, I'd just end up laughing, or glaring, or doing something even worse.
I found this plaid skirt at the Salvation Army awhile back. It actually has attached shorts inside it, which is something I'm really into right now. It's a little different plaid for me because it's mostly red, orange, and yellow. I prefer the tartan plaids, but thought this was kind of cute. It would probably go better with whites or reds, but I had black on last night.
