Plaid Werewolf

I watched one of my favorite movies tonight, The Nightmare Before Christmas. I noticed the werewolf was wearing a plaid shirt. It's not red plaid—it's yellow—but it's plaid all the same.

I just saw this online. I've been looking for a red plaid watch lately (not looking hard, mind you, but I would like to get one eventually), and I came across this. I'm not much a dog person, but this is a really cute one.

Dipper of Copper Creek

We started this book, Dipper of Copper Creek last week for school. I don't know why, but it was only today that I noticed the red plaid shirt of the main character, Doug. The boys and I are big fans of Jean Craighead George. We really loved all her books in the My Side of the Mountain series. Regardless, any book with red plaid on the cover is cool by me.

I recently ordered three Gene Kelly films with some Amazon gift card money I had left over from my birthday. I absolutely love Gene Kelly, as you can tell from my last blog entry. Imagine my surprise when I received Brigadoon and saw the DVD case. Way too cool.

Plaid Bicycle?

They have this bike at Walmart. I probably would have freaked out a little if it had been red plaid. Thank goodness it wasn't—not to mention the fact that I'm not in the market for a new bike. It's a ladies' cruiser bike, which I'm not too fond of either. Not only that, but it's powder blue. My first 10-speed was powder blue. Why I picked that color, I will never know. Regardless, it IS plaid, which is still cool.

I saw these red plaid reading glasses at Kmart the day before Easter. I didn't buy them because I already have prescription glasses for reading. However, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to go back and look at them closer. Turns out I ended up buying a pair. I was really surprised how close they are to my prescription ones. Dr. Pepper Plaid

I have these enormous books called All American Ads that are filled with fun, interesting ads from different decades. I have all the books they make — from the 1900s to the 80s. I'm not sure if they'll ever come out with one for the 90s or 2000s, but I hope so. They're fun to see what was popular.

Anyway, the other day I was looking through them and saw this old ad for Sugar Free Dr. Pepper. I guess that was before they started calling things "diet". The plaid bathing suit caught my attention, so I thought I'd share it here. This was from the 1960s book and I remember having suits like this.

Plaid Coffee Mug

I'm always on the lookout for a plaid coffee mug when I scour the thrift store. I finally came across one the other day, but it was golf-themed, so I didn't buy it. Still cool that I finally found one though.

Plaid Jars ... or not?

I saw these jars for sale at our local grocery store. I got all excited at first, only to realize it wasn't real plaid fabric. It's just a plaid paper top with a plaid label. It would look really cool if you did add real plaid fabric. Even so, being the plaid freak I am, it caught my eye and I just had to take a picture.

New Plaidness ...

It doesn't take much to make me happy, especially if it is something in the form of red plaid. I found these flats and scarf yesterday. Of course, I'd never wear them together. I always make it a habit never to mix my plaids. I only wear one plaid item at a time. Even so, I was happy to find these little treasures.

New Skirt

Well, it's actually a very old skirt, but new to me. I bought this a few weeks ago at the local Salvation Army, but forgot to post it. It's a little high-waisted, but that's okay. I love how it zips all the way up the front.

I have issues ...

"Hello. My name is Rena, and I'm addicted to red plaid."

Of course, this isn't everything I have that's red plaid. I didn't include the underwear in this picture, so you can be grateful for that. I have other stuff besides clothes. I think I took this picture for one of my photo challenges on Instagram — probably for "Red" or something. Makes for a cool looking picture, though.

My friend Nick, who lives in Edinburgh, Scotland tagged me in this picture awhile back. I've been meaning to post it. This was one of the buses he rode. Isn't it simply fabulous? My mom would have absolutely loved riding on this.

Plaid Moose

I saw this little guy at the thrift store recently. It's a moose, but it's round like a soft ball, and he was wearing a red, tartan plaid scarf. I thought it was cute, so I took a picture. Believe it or not, but I don't buy everything plaid I see. ;)

More Plaid Boots ...

I think these are cute too, but sadly, they only go up to size 8 US. I wear a nine. I think they'd look cute with all all black outfit, or maybe some denim thrown in. They're on sale, if anyone wants to check them out here.

I love these Sporto plaid boots. I saw them online and Amazon says they run from $52-$99. Sadly, I don't see my size listed. Maybe more will pop up eventually. I'd totally wear these, especially here in Montana with all the snow and slush.

New Plaid Find ...

I found this at the thrift store yesterday. It's kind of like a jacket, but is more fitted like a top. I loved how the zipper-pull is in the shape of a silver heart. Nice touch. It cost me $4.25, which wasn't too shabby.
